So after our nice break in Copenhagen, Jennifer and I have decided that we're going to take the kids to Germany this year for the Christmas Markets. I think we always take for granted in England how close Europe really is and we want to make the most of this now after having had such a great weekend. I've never been to Germany before so we're going to head to Cologne in the second week of December to go and see the Christmas markets there. Jennifer and I are going to book the flights and accommodation this weekend and then we are good to go! At least it gives the kids something to look forward to!

So last month Jennifer and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on 14th September. Firstly I want to thank our family and friends for your cards and text messages. We can't believe its been 10 years either! Anyway, instead of buying her something out of tin as tradition dictates, we decided we would go away for the weekend, which is always more fun! We dropped the kids off at Nana Lily's and set off for the airport! Oh yes! Destination of choice: Copenhagen. We took an early flight so got into the city at 12pm. We found a super modern apartment to rent for the weekend, dropped our bags off and headed straight into the city. We started off with a guided canal tour, which was really nice and gave us lots of opportunites to take pictures. We then headed down town to the world's longest pedestrian street complete with every single shop you could possibly think of. I can safely say that Stroget was Jennifer's favourite part of the trip! I preferred the Carlsberg Brewery. Free beer = yes please
